There are more than 140 craft breweries in Colorado, and five of them are right here in Mesa Verde Country! Ales and lagers, hoppy IPAs and pilsners, along with a variety of seasonal beers are available from each brewery.

Dolores River Brewery believes that beer can change the world. That’s why they’re out to change the world one beer at a time with their delicious and thought-provoking microbrews. Not only will you get a fresh beer, they bake their own wood-fired oven pizza and bring in live music from time to time.

Main Street Brewery in Cortez likes to remind customers that the best way to avoid heart attacks is to drink beer! Their brewmaster follows the German Reinheitsgebot (law of purity) to handcraft their Mesa Cerveza line of nine different ales and lagers, along with a variety of seasonal beers. The brewery includes a restaurant and gift shop with an impressive collection of beer souvenirs.

Coyote J. Brewing Company is also located in Cortez. Their handcrafted microbrews are created from carefully selected choice ingredients and brewed to perfection. You’ll find a variety of pale, dark, and amber ales, a dark bock and a wheat ale. You’ll find the beer inside J. Fargo’s Family Dining & Micro Brewery, where food and other domestic and imported are also available. Growlers are available at all five breweries so you can bring home a taste of Mesa Verde Country.

Mancos Brewing Company offers great small-batch beer in a relaxed setting, Tuesday – Sunday, Noon to 9 pm. They also serve food and have live music regularly, to accompany those house beers.

WildEdge Brewing Collective is our newest addition of local breweries featuring 6 house beers on tap, growlers, regional cider and wine, and an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks. Tapas, soft pretzels, bratwurst and meat pies are served, to name just a few food items on the menu. Wide open space and lots of natural light make this new brewery a nice community space.
