The park has announced that it is offering FREE admission on these 10 days in 2017. It’s just one more reason to plan your trip to Mesa Verde Country in the New Year!

- February 20: Presidents Day weekend
- April 15-16 & April 22-23: National Park Week Weekends
- August 25: National Park Service’s 101st birthday
- September 30: National Public Lands Day
- November 11-12: Veterans Day Weekend
Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular view into the lives of the Ancestral Puebloan people. These native tribes made Mesa Verde their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to 1300.
Today, the park protects nearly 5,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the United States.
