Up, up and away with the Cortez Rendezvous Balloon Rally! For over 20 years this annual event on the first weekend in August has brought a weekend of Hot Air Balloon family-friendly activities for locals, tourists and balloon enthusiasts from near and far.
Morning Launches is your time to experience the fascinating process of Balloon preparation and launch as they inflate and lift off in the early morning hours. Interested in HANDS ON experience? Volunteer to assist a pilot and be part of the ground Crew!
An Evening Glow features an amazing array of Hot Air Balloons lighting up the night sky. Tethered Balloon rides, activities for kids, visits with the Pilots, music and more create a magical evening event.
All of the Cortez Rendezvous events are weather permitting. Launches and Balloon Glow take place in Parque de Vida, a jewel of the City of Cortez Parks System, and the skies over Cortez, Colorado.
