Montezuma County Fair August 5-7
Music. Food. Fun! The Montezuma Country Music Festival at the fair features Repeat Offenders and Not Quite Dry. Taste the county’s best chili and salsa. Take in the demolition derby. Remember, the fairgrounds are right across from our epic mountain biking terrain, Phil’s World. So in between the food and music, plan to do some of Colorado’s best biking. (Simplify the road trip and rent a bike at Kokopelli Bike & Board.)

Escalante Days August 12-14
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Escalante Days, celebrating beautiful Dolores, Colorado. Take in the morning parade, chain saw and arm wrestling competitions, arts booths and a duck race. Later, the Dolores River Brewery rolls out the Escalante Days and Nights Music Festival, with local live acts playing Saturday afternoon until midnight. Ten acts. Ten hours. $10 bucks! 970-882-4018
Mancos Valley Summer Brewfest August 13
Here’s an event that kids can enjoy, along with Mom and Dad. There’s a kids activity area and kids 12 and under get in free. There’s also music all afternoon. Food. Local beer from Mancos Brewing Company and Riff Raff Brewing of Pagosa Springs and wine from Guy Drew Vineyards.
Reach Out Music Fest August 20
Cortez City Park comes alive all day and into the night with Christian rock, great food and family fun. The headliner for the Reach Out Music Fest is chart-topper Ryan Stevenson. Don’t miss it!
