The Local Lens Photo & Video Contest invites local businesses, organizations, and community partners to share the moments that define our region. From Cortez and Dolores to Mancos and Mesa Verde National Park, your photos and videos help tell the story of the people, places, and experiences that make Mesa Verde Country unique.
Enter for the chance to be featured across our channels—and to win a half-page ad in the 2027/2028 Mesa Verde Country Travel Planner (a $2,500 value).
The Local Lens Photo & Video Contest is exclusively for local businesses, organizations, and community partners of Mesa Verde Country. From your storefront or cultural institution to outdoor outfitters, lodging, tours, or community groups, you help shape the visitor experience here.
We invite you to submit photos or videos that highlight how your work, your space, or your story connects to Mesa Verde Country: Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, and Mesa Verde National Park. We’ll occasionally feature entries across our website, social channels, and newsletter—helping you share your story with the Mesa Verde Country audience.
Photo & Video Contest Criteria
Entries will be judged on:
- Relevance – Visual connection to Mesa Verde Country and your role in it
- Quality – Clarity, composition, and visual appeal
- Storytelling – Add a caption or “field note” explaining the significance
- Creativity – Unique perspectives and fresh storytelling
- Impact – Emotional resonance, pride in our region, and inspiration
Prize
The grand prize winner will receive a half-page ad in the 2027/2028 Mesa Verde Country Travel Planner (valued at $2,500). That’s a real opportunity for visibility among travelers planning to visit our area.
How to Enter
- Capture a photo or video during the contest period that showcases your business, organization, or community connection.
- Submit a caption or note that ties your image to Mesa Verde Country.
- The contest will be running from 2025-2026.
